Intuition is something we all have.  It is that small feeling inside that so often leads us to the correct choice. If we would only listen to it m0re often and trust what it tells us.

Below are ways to help you learn to hear yours:

  1. Hypnosis – Perform self-hypnosis auto- hypnosis or you can avail of hypnotic programs that can strengthen your intuition.
  2. Meditation – Meditating means finding peace within. If your mind and heart are cluttered with a lot of baggage, you won’t be able to quiet down that part of you that can initiate intuition. There are so many ways to meditate: take a yoga class, or just simply practice some breathing that could bring you straight to Zen.
  3. Think positive – By staying positive, you attract good energy that would be able to easily recognize imminent feelings and events.
  4. *Just let go – Let go of all your inhibitions and head to a quiet place where you can find out where the letting go has brought you. Sometimes you just have to listen to the voice within you, and that voice wouldn’t come out unless you let go.
  5. Never expect – After letting go of your inhibitions and all those little things that prevent you from thinking and feeling clearly, by no means expect an answer right away. Give it a little time.
  6. Trust your first impressions. – When you see someone for the first time and think that he is a bit too arrogant for your taste, chances are that impression actually holds true. Most of the time, first impressions are brought to you by intuition.

Contrary to what most people believe, leadership is not about power. It is not about bossing people or driving them by using threats and fear. It is about encouraging others towards the goal of the organization. It is getting everyone on the same mission statement  and helping them to see the big picture of the organization and how they function within this common good. You must become a leader not a boss.

People follow others when they see a clear sense of purpose. People will only follow you if they see that you know where you are going. If you do not know where you’re heading, chances are nobody will want follow you, anyway.

Being a leader is not about what you make others do. It’s about who you are, what you know, and what you do. You are the reflection of what you’re colleagues want to be.

Studies have shown that another fundamental of good leadership is the trust and confidence your fellows have of you. Trust and confidence, that can only be built on respectful relationships, trustworthiness, and high degree of moral standards.

Once you have their confidence and loyalty, you may now proceed to communicate the goals and objectives you are to undertake. Stand as the visualization your co-workers want to emulate.

Communication is a very important key to good leadership. The knowledge and technical expertise you have must be clearly imparted to other people. You must be able to assess situations, weigh the pros and cons of any decision, and actively seek out a solution.

Leaders are not do-it-yourself heroes, who burn out by not being able to delegate. You should not claim to know everything, and you should not rely upon your skills alone. You should recognize the capacities and talents your colleagues have, and provide opportunities for them to shine and blossom. Only when you come to this realization will you be able to work as one cohesive unit.

Remember being a leader takes a good deal of work and time. It is not learned overnight.

  3. News is stressful. Get less of it.
  4. Being part of a spiritual group with its singing, sacraments, chanting, prayers and meditations encourages inner peace.
  5. Manage your time. Time is invaluable and too important to waste.
  6. Laugh and laugh vigorously everyday.  Heard a good joke? Tell your friends or family about it. As they also say -‘Laughter is the best medicine’.
  7. Communicate your feelings, affections, friendship and passion to people around you.
  8. Try not to keep pent up anger of frustrations, this is bad for your health. Instead find ways of expressing them in a way that will not cause more injury or hurt to anyone.
  9. Working hard brings great personal contentment. It gives a sense of being capable in finishing our tasks. Work on things that you feel are valuable of your time.
  10. Learning is a joyful exercise. Try and learn something new each day. Learning also makes us broaden our horizons and opens our eyes to possibilities.
  11. Run, skip, walk, dance and do all the other things that your body was made for. Feel alive.
  12. Avoid exposure to negative elements like loud noises, toxins and hazardous places.
